Today World Health Organization (WHO) delivered 924.000 masks donated by Germany to Zimbabwe.
Ambassador Volz participated the official handover in which representatives from the Ministry of Health and Child Care namely Perm. Sec. Air Commodore Dr Chimedza and Deputy Minister of Health and Child Care, Hon. Dr Mangwiro were present. The bulk mask donation will be distributed within Zimbabwe's rural areas where schools in particular are set to receive up to 5.000 masks each.
Mask donations are just one part of our efforts to fight the pandemic globally.
With 2,2 billion Euros, Germany is also the second biggest donor to ACT-A, the organization behind COVAX.- German Embassy Harare
